COVID-19 Update

We are living through unprecedented times with the COVID-19 Outbreak upon us.  The health and wellness of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance to us.  Effective Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 – our New Castle and Dover stores will be closed until further notice in Delaware’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Rest assure we are processing all online orders, and are offering pick up by appointment services.  Please contact our stores for more information by phone or at: websales@furnitureurban.com

Safety of our UFO Staff & Customers:

The safety of our UFO teams and our customers is our top priority.  We have had additional training and education on COVID-19 symptoms and best practices to stay safe and healthy for all staff.  Additional measures to ensure cleanliness and safety of our facilities have been enacted including:

  • Practice social distancing 6 feet or more between yourself and others
  • Frequent disinfecting surfaces throughout day
  • Hand sanitizer available
  • Disposable gloves available
  • Frequent hand washing of 20 seconds or more

Pick Up & Deliveries:

Additional measures have been done to keep our UFO delivery team and customers safe as well.  We will continue to fulfill orders and pick up and limited delivery service.  The following preventative steps taken include:

  • Additional COVID-19 training for all staff on symptoms and preventative measures
  • Social distancing of 6 feet or more as much as possible
  • Disinfecting surfaces in truck, tools, hand trucks through out day
  • Frequent hand washing/hand sanitizer use
  • Preparing items as best we can prior to delivery
  • Pick ups are by scheduled appointment only at this time
  • We are only offering curb side or ‘to the door’ deliveries at this time

Urban Furniture Outlet, like so many of you, are trying to navigate our staff and teams through a difficult time.  This situation is evolving daily and we will make every effort to update any changes in hours or operation to our customers as soon as possible.

Change in Hours:

In light of the COVID-19, we have temporarily closed our New Castle and Dover store locations – we are handling customer pick-ups by appointment only.  However, our UFO website is available 24 hours and our we are monitoring online chats and phone calls to serve you better!

We appreciate our Delaware and surrounding communities and customers support of each other, us, and many other small businesses during this difficult time and will continue to monitor this situation as it develops.
