It’s that time of year again – the rush to Thanksgiving and now count down to the holidays! The holiday season brings us together hopefully with the special people in our life – family and friends. Cooler temps make us want to hang indoors more vs head out in the cold! It’s the perfect time to redecorate and upgrade your look to enjoy during these special times. Here are some our tips for getting your home holiday-ready or just ready to enjoy all year!

Shake It Off. Now’s a good time to get a good cleaning in your home – shake out curtains, dust those cob webs from corners and give the windows a nice cleaning. Vacuum those hard to reach places like under seat cushions and tables. A little TLC and cleaning sets the stage for your home to shine like a diamond!
Cozy Vibes. The cooler temps make us want to cozy up and it’s easy to add some pieces to your home decor to set the mood. Thick and chunky throw blankets, accent pillows invite guest to sit back and relax. You can go seasonal with your colors and themes or keep it neutral and just blend with your living room furniture. Don’t forget to add some pieces to your bedroom collection as well – who doesn’t love some thick cozy blankets!?
Holiday Memories. A nice touch is to swap out some photos in your frames for favorite pics and memories from winters and holidays past. It’s easy and pretty cheap to get some pics printed at local discount stores (make sure to check for promo codes!) and swap out your pictures for some that will be sure to bring a smile to your face.
Entertain the Senses. Holidays bring a lot of things to mind – baked cookies, Christmas trees and evergreens, holiday music, colorful lights, and decor! When you’re thinking of creating a perfect holiday home – make sure to embrace the sounds, smells, sites, and feels in your home decor and planning. Even if you don’t opt for the trees and baking – you can choose holiday scented candles or plug ins, turn on the radio, and create some magic without all the work!
Invest in Your Home. There’s a lot you can do to update your home for the holidays for less. Sometimes no matter what we do – our home needs an update. When doing your holiday shopping – prioritize the things that you will enjoy all year long vs the impulse buys. A new sofa, mattress, or dining room set can make a big impact on how you feel at home and set the stage for some amazing memories in the new year.
